ਹਾਕੀ 'ਤੇ ਅਧਾਰਿਤ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਫਿਲਮ 'ਖਿੱਦੋ ਖੂੰਡੀ' 20 ਅਪ੍ਰੈਲ, 2018 ਨੂੰ ਸਿਨੇਮਾ ਘਰਾਂ 'ਚ ਦਿਖਾਏ ਜਾਣ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਹੈ। ਮਾਰਚ 'ਚ ਇਸਦਾ ਟ੍ਰੇਲਰ ਲਚ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਫਿਲਮ ਖੇਡ ਦੇ ਮਾਣ ਮੱਤੇ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਮੇਟੇ ਜਲੰਧਰ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਛੋਟੇ ਜਿਹੇ ਪਿੰਡ ਸੰਸਾਰਪੁਰ ਦੀ ਕਹਾਣੀ ਬਿਆਨ ਕਰੇਗੀ।

ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ, 17 ਅਪ੍ਰੈਲ (ਹਾਰਦਿਕ ਕੁਮਾਰ)-'ਬੇੜੀ ਪਾਰ ਲਗਾ ਦੇ ਮੇਰੀ' ਦੀ ਅਪਾਰ ਸਫਲਤਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਉਘੀ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਲੋਕ ਗਾਇਕ ਜੋੜੀ ਜਗਦੇਵ ਖਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਪੂਨਮ ਸੋਹਲ ਨਵਾਂ ਦੋਗਾਣਾ 'ਮਾਹੀਆ' ਲੈ ਕੇ ਸ੍ਰੋਤਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਰੂ-ਬ-ਰੂ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ। ਅੱਜ ਪੱਖੋਵਾਲ ਰੋਡ ਸਥਿਤ ਪਿੰਡ ਦਾਦ ਵਿਖੇ ਹੋਏ ਇਕ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਇਸ ਗੀਤ ਨੂੰ ਰਿਲੀਜ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ ਉਘੇ ਲੋਕ ਗਾਇਕ ਪਰਗਟ ਖਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਕਾਂਗਰਸੀ  ਆਗੂ ਬਲਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਸੰਧੂ ਨੇ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ  ਬੇਸ਼ੱਕ ਮੌਜੂਦਾ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਗਾਇਕੀ ਦਾ ਖੇਤਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਅਸਲ ਪੁਰਾਤਨ ਵਿਰਸੇ ਤੋਂ ਕੋਹਾਂ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕਾ ਹੈ, ਲੇਕਿਨ ਜਗਦੇਵ ਖਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਪੂਨਮ ਸੋਹਲ ਦੇ ਗਾਏ 'ਮਾਹੀਆ' ਵਰਗੇ ਗੀਤ ਜਿਥੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰਕ ਦੌਰ ਦੇ ਮਾਣਮੱਤੇ ਮੀਲ ਪੱਥਰ ਸਥਾਪਿਤ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ,ਉਥੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰਕ ਦੌਰ ਦੇ ਮੁੜ ਪਰਤਣ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਢ ਵੀ ਬੰਨਦੇ ਹਨ। ਗੀਤ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਗੀਤ ਨੂੰ ਰਿਲੀਜ਼ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਕੰਪਨੀ ਰੂਟਸ ਮਿਊਜ਼ਿਕ ਦੇ ਐਮ. ਡੀ. ਸ. ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਪਨੇਸਰ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ  ਗੀਤਕਾਰ ਗੁਰਬਖਸ਼ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੇ ਲਿਖੇ ਇਸ ਗੀਤ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਗੀਤਕਾਰ ਦਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੈਂਥ ਨੇ  ਸੰਗੀਤਬੱਧ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਜਦਕਿ ਇਸ ਦਾ ਵੀਡੀਓ ਫਿਲਮਾਂਕਣ ਸੋਨੀ ਸੋਹਲ ਵਜੋਂ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਨਾਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਗੀਤ ਜਲਦ ਦੀ ਵੱਡੇ ਸੰਗੀਤਕ ਚੈਨਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਿੰੰਗਾਰ ਬਣੇਗਾ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਗੀਤਕਾਰ ਸਰਬਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਵਿਰਦੀ, ਕੁਲਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੁੱਗਲ, ਲੋਕ ਗਾਇਕ ਹਸਨ ਖਾਨ, ਡਾਇਰੈਕਟਰ ਸੋਨੀ ਸੋਹਲ, ਬਲਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਸੰਧੂ, ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਸਾਗਰ, ਸੰਜੇ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ, ਪਰਮਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ  ਗਰੇਵਾਲ ਬਲਰਾਜ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਆਦਿ ਹਾਜਰ ਸਨ।<o:p></o:p></div>

Department of Botany, Khalsa College for Women, Civil Lines, Ludhiana organized a one day workshop entitled “Plant-Microbe Interactions; Bio-tools for sustainable agriculture and industry”. Dr. (Mrs.) Neera Garg, Professor, Deptt. of Botany, Panjab University, Chandigarh Conducted this workshop. She highlighted the importance of bio-fertilizers and plant growth promoting bacteria, Sulphur solubilizing microbes, their role and importance in sustainable agriculture. She explained to the students the importance of Nitrogen-fixing bacteria and their role in nutrient acquisition. The role of these microbes in the biotic stress tolerance such as salt, water, and heavy metals was highlighted. In the Practical session, the demonstration of the method of culturing of micro-organisms, plant-microbe symbiotic association, different staining techniques of microbial associations, the fresh cross-section of heavily infected nodules was demonstrated. Students of B.Sc. Medical attended the workshop. The highly interactive session enriched the students immensely. Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Mukti Gill applauded the efforts of the staff members for organizing the highly engaging and informative workshop.<o:p></o:p></div>

Annual athletic meet of Malwa Central College of Education for Women was held on 09 March 2018 in the college ground.The Programme was started with Shabad recital.  Dr. Naginder Kaur, Principal of the college unfurled the athletic flag and released balloons as the symbol of peace and glory of sports. Dr. Naginder Kaur received the salute from the marching students. Dr. Naginder Kaur, Principal of the college declared the athletic meet open.A spectacular march past was showcased by the students. Best march past trophy was bagged by Section-D of 4th Semester. Students participated in many athletic events like Javelin Throw, Discus Throw, Shot Put, Long jump, High Jump. In track events, 100meters, 200 meters, 400 meters, 100 meters Obstacle Race, 400 meters Relay race were organized. To give the light touch few fun games were also organized like 100meter Sack Race, 50 meters Spoon and Potato Race, Chatti Race, 3-legged race etc.  Manjot Kaur was stood first in 100 meters race.</div>

Prize distribution of annual athletic meet was held at 2.00 p.m. Dr. Rupa Saini, Olympian and Arjuna Awardee was the chief guest of the valedictory ceremony of the annual athletic meet. Wing Commander A.S. Badwal (Rtd. IAF) and S. Charanjit Singh Saini have also accompanied the chief guest. Mrs. Manjit Kaur and Mrs. Kushal Dhillon management committee, former faculty members and other guests graced the occasion with their presence.Dr. Naginder Kaur, welcomed the chief guest and other dignitaries present on the occasion and introduce the chief guest to the audience and presented the highlights of the institution achievements.</div>

The chief guest along with Principal of the college gave away the prizes to the winners and congratulated the participants. She motivated the future teachers to perform their duties with dedication and integrity. She also motivated the students to participate more in the sports and games in the future also as the sports keep the body and mind healthy.</div>

Women are the real architects of the society, PCTE Group of Institutes organized an event named "THE EMPOWERED WOMEN" to celebrate the auspicious occasion of International Women’s Day, where Ms. Harleen Sona (Writer, Philanthropist, Motivational Speaker), Ms. Diksha Kalra (Entrepreneur, MD of the Carnivals and Inquisitive Magazine) and Ms. Baljeet Kaur (MD VMAD, Motivator) ,the Renowned personalities of the city were invited to grace the occasion and experience and expressed their views in front of 200 young bloods.</div>

Ms. Harleen Sona talked about how life is too short and said that we have to introspect ourselves and should explore our potential and power to the fullest. Ms. Baljeet Kaur said that no women should victimize themselves because she is a woman, they have to be strong and prepare themselves to what they are capable of and then the society will react as how they should be reacting. She added by saying that one should listen to what the parents are saying and try to convince and make them understand things according to the situation. Ms. Diksha Kalra discussed about how one can get out of the situations which they feel are not feasible for them and emphasized on being strong on what they want to do. </div>

March 08 marks the women’s day in GGNIVS, Ghumarmandi, Ludhiana which celebrates the achievements of women in all spheres of life. The programme began with a very warm welcome accorded to the college Director. By discussing the history of women’s day he added that the first women day was observed in February 1909 when 15000 women marched through the streets of New York demanding improved pay, shorter hours and voting rights.In 1975 the united nations proclaimed the year International women’s year and decided March 08 as women’s day.<o:p></o:p></div>

The day saw a host of soul-stirring performance by students of different classes.  Palaknanda of b.sc it ,sang an emotional song – “maaye teri chunariya lehraye”. A song by bhavneetsingh–chidhiyan vi udna chahundiayn ne of b.com and add mad show by the students were both informative and inspirational. A poem by Nancy “Nari Shakti” was heterogeneous. There was a video on the different roles of women by the students. Prof Gurdeep Singh’s poem mein te meri maa touched the emotional chords of everyone.<o:p></o:p></div>

Annual prize distribution function of Malwa Central College of Education for Women was held on 06 March, 2018 in the college campus. S. Raman Singh Sidhu, Chairman European Business Group Federation, India and Former Chairman, Indo-Canadian Chamber of commerce deputy chairman British Business group graced the occasion as chief guest.Members of the management and other former faculty members also dignified the occasion with their presence.</div>

 The Programme was started with Shabad recital. Dr. Naginder Kaur, Principal of the college welcomed the chief guest and other dignitaries present on the occasion. She also presented annual report highlighting various achievements of the students.</div>

The chief guest gave prizes to 144 students of B.Ed., M.Ed. and Polytechnic (MIPSS) for their achievements in Curricular and co-curricular activities. He advised the future teachers that with their teaching they should transform the education in a joyful activity to create the interest of the students in subjects. They also advocate that every teacher should approach to their students, who are with diverse culture, individually. The medium of communication should be able to address the diverse needs and language diversity of the class.  </div>

Students of
Bajaj college (Chaunkimann, Ludhiana) affiliated to Panjab Univeristy went for
a recreational trip to Goa from 22nd- 28th February. A
total of 26 students alongwith 2 teachers made their way to this trip. Students
visited the famous Bom jesus Basilica Church also called St. Francis Xavier’s
tomb which is a part of UNESCO Worls Heritage site. Aguada fort which is one of
the major heritage sites was also one of the destination of the students. Also,
they went to Baga beach, vagator beach, Miramar beach, Calangute beach, South
Goa market, etc. A refreshing cruise party was organised at the Mandovi river.
Students strolled around on the streets of Goa on their two-wheelers having a
great time filled with fun and frolic.<o:p></o:p></div>

ਹੋਵੇ, ਚਾਹੇ ਉਹ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਦਾ । ਇਹ ਘਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁਹਜ ਵਧਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਇਨ•ਾਂ ਦੀ 
ਕਾਸ਼ਤ ਕਰ ਵਪਾਰਕ ਖੇਤੀ ਦੇ ਰਾਹ ਵੀ ਪੈ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ । ਉਨ•ਾਂ ਵੱਖੋ-ਵੱਖ ਸਕੂਲਾਂ, ਸਰਕਾਰੀ 
ਅਤੇ ਗੈਰ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਆਏ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਰਸਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਨੁਮਾਇੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ 
ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜਿੱਤ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਗ
 ਲੈਣਾ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਹੈ । ਡਾ. ਮਾਹਲ, ਡਾ. ਤੇਜਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ,

international market since they are not able to source technology and quality
raw material. However, many Indian companies hope to assert their brand
presence in the international market by taking over international companies or
making technological tie-ups. In relation to this Hero Group hopes to be
sending out 60,000 units in India, Sri Lanka and England this year. This was
expressed by Pankaj Munjal, CMD, Hero Motors. Encouraging the Indian cycle
industry, Munjal urged the local manufacturers of cycle parts to explore the
international market as well.</div>

The weekend brought
more visitors to the exhibition as various activities to create awareness among
the people continued on Day 2. Surinder Brar, Organiser, CFOSE  said,
"It is great to see that the people of Ludhiana take so much interest in
the cycle industry. This is one industry this that affects their lives directly
in a very significant way."</div>

By the end of the second day of CFOSE 2018 about 50,000
visitors had witnessed the grand display of latest cycles, e-rickshaws and
fitness products. Technology kept the youth engaged and despite the Ludhiana
Municipal Corporation elections and the rain crowds did not abate at the expo.

their fascination with luxury cars, Ludhiana has taken a fancy to luxury
bicycles now. Company LA Sovereign displayed the US made Lamborghini Cycle
worth 6 lakhs. The director of the company Rohit Kalra and spokesperson Nitin
Ghai said that they have already sold two Lamborghini cycles to local
businessmen. This 7kg cycle is equipped with gears and boasts of enhanced
comfort. 
 
Auto self balance robotics to be seen on Indian roads</div>

Jindal from Hower Robotics revealed that the company had launched this technology
at CFOSE 2018 itself. This technology has been replicated in India after 5
years of research in Australia. North Indians find sand cycles
fascinating .The broad tyres of sand cycles has caught the fancy of
north Indians. These cycles garnered quite a lot of attention from the visitors
at CFOSE.</div>

इवेंट डायरेक्टर दिव्य शर्मा,स्कूल के प्रिंसिपल सीमा शर्मा और फ़िल्म 
डायरेक्टर करण शर्मा ने निभाई।सीमा शर्मा ने कहा कि उन्हें बच्चों का 
टैलेंट बहुत पसंद आया।बच्चे पढ़ाई के साथ साथ इस तरह की गतिविधियों में भाग 
ले उनके लिए बहुत जरूरी है।तभी वो कुछ कर के दिखाएगें।ऑडिशन में विशेष रूप

ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ, 22 ਫਰਵਰੀ ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਕਾਲਜ ਆਫ਼ ਇੰਜੀਨੀਅਰਿੰਗ ਅਤੇ ਟੈਕਨੌਲੋਜੀ, ਕਟਾਂਣੀ ਕਲਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਆਈ ਕੇ ਗੁਜਰਾਲ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਟੈਕਨੀਕਲ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਦੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਨਾਲ ਇਕ ਸੈਮੀਨਾਰ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਸੈਮੀਨਾਰ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਚ ਸਿੱਖਿਆਂ ਚੁਣਨ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਐਨ ਬੀ ਏ/ ਨੈਕ ਤੋਂ ਮਨਜ਼ੂਰਸ਼ੁਦਾ ਵਿੱਦਿਅਕ ਅਦਾਰੇ ਚੁਣਨ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਅਹਿਮ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਮਸ਼ਹੂਰ ਸਿੱਖਿਆਂ ਸ਼ਾਸਤਰੀ ਡਾ. ਪ੍ਰੋ ਅਕਸ਼ੈ ਗਿਰਧਰ, ਚੇਅਰਮੈਨ ਬੋਰਡ ਆਫ਼ ਸਟੱਡੀਜ਼ ਕੰਪਿਊਟਰ ਐਪਲੀਕੇਸ਼ਨ ਅਤੇ ਪੀ ਟੀ ਯੂ ਦੇ ਇੰਸਟੈਂਟ ਰਜਿਸਟਰਾਰ ਨਰੇਸ਼ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਨੇ ਸਬੰਧਿਤ ਵਿਸੇ ਤੇ ਅਹਿਮ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸ ਵਰਕਸ਼ਾਪ ਵਿਚ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਟੈਕਨੀਕਲ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਦੇ 15 ਕਾਲਜਾਂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਨਿਧੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲਿਆ। ਡਾ. ਪ੍ਰੋ, ਅਕਸ਼ੇ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਨੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਦੱਸਿਆਂ ਕਿ ਅਕਸਰ ਨੈਸ਼ਨਲ ਬੋਰਡ ਆਫ਼ ਐਕਰੀਡੇਸ਼ਨ (ਐਨ ਬੀ ਏ)/ ਨੈਸ਼ਨਲ ਅਸੈਸਮੈਂਟ ਐਂਡ ਐਕਰੀਡੇਸ਼ਨ ਕੌਸ਼ਲ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਨਗੀ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ।ਜਦ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਨਗੀ ਲਈ ਲੋੜੀਦੇ ਕਾਗ਼ਜ਼ਾਤ ਪੂਰੇ ਹੋਣੇ ਚਾਹੀਦੇ ਹਨ।ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋੜੀਦੇ ਕਾਗ਼ਜ਼ਾਂ ਦੀ ਲਿਸਟ ਵਿਸਥਾਰ ਸਹਿਤ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉੱਚ ਸਿੱਖਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਨਗੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਜਾਣੂ ਕਰਾਇਆ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਗਲਤ ਸਿੱਖਿਆਂ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਦਾਖਲਾ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਭਵਿਖ ਨਾ ਖ਼ਰਾਬ ਕਰ ਸਕਣ। ਐਲ ਸੀ ਈ ਟੀ ਦੇ ਚੇਅਰਮੈਨ ਵਿਜੇ ਗੁਪਤਾ ਨੇ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਮਹਿਮਾਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਬੇਸ਼ੱਕ ਐਲ ਸੀ ਈ ਟੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਉੱਜਲ ਭਵਿਖ ਲਈ ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਸ੍ਰੋਤ ਮੰਤਰਾਲੇ ਦੇ ਨਿਯਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਨ-ਬਿਨ ਲਾਗੂ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਫਿਰ ਵੀ ਕੁੱਝ ਕਾਲੀਆਂ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਕੁੱਝ ਰੁਪਇਆਂ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਾਤਰ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਭਵਿਖ ਨਾਲ ਖੇਡਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਤਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੈਮੀਨਾਰ ਨਾ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਚੇਤਨਤਾ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਬਲਕਿ ਵਿੱਦਿਅਕ ਅਦਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਿਸਟਮ ਦੀ ਪੜਚੋਲ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਮੌਕਾ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਮੈਨੇਜਮੈਂਟ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਮੁੱਖ ਬੁਲਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਨਮਾਨਿਤ ਵੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।</div>
