26 Feburary (Amandeep singh) marked the beginning of a “Two Day Music Workshop” at Master Tara Singh Memorial College for Women, Ludhiana. Dr. Hukum Chand (HOD) Maharishi Dayadand Universirty Rohtak and assistant Prof. Dr Swati, Govt.PG Nehru College Jhajjar graced the occasion with their utmost presence. The event was commenced with Saraswati Vandana followed by Shama Roshan ceremony. Resource person Dr. Hukum Chand highlighted the contribution of Thumri in Pahadi and Punjabi folksongs in his key lecture. Dr Swati, discussed minute technicalities of music with the present students and faculty from various colleges of Ludhiana.
College Principal Dr. Kirandeep Kaur applauded the efforts put in by the Music Department and thanked the guests and participants for sparing their precious time for the event . President of College Managing Committee S, Swarn Singh jJ and Secretary S. Kanwalinder Singh Ji appreciated and congratulated the staff and students for orgnising such an event.
